Go Ye therefore and Teach

Are you sometimes like me, forgetting that we are the light of the world? A city set on a hill, that cannot be hid? (Matt 5:14) Reading towards the last pages of Psalms this morning, King David asks the Lord: "Deliver me out of great waters, from the hand of strange children; whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood." Psalms 144:7,8

I'm so glad that one of my co-workers/trainer keeps asking me about the Sabbath. I mentioned it to her during my interview for possible arrangements. I hope to share more of just how good the Lord has been to me.

God places us in our respective places to be a light for Him, a small beacon unto this dark-fallen world; for the world to know His truth. Cause we're not going to school just to get our Bachelor or Doctorate degree; working just to put bread on the table and pay the bills; have friends just so we have someone to talk to. God longs to work through us to do great things. The Holy Spirit is promised for moments like this, to win souls for Him. "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few." Luke 10:2

"Yea, happy is that people, whose God is the LORD." Psalms 144:15

Philippians

"Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure."
Philippians 2:12,13

Steps to Christ

Yesterday as I was about to leave the house for work, Pastor B teased me, "Oh, you have to go to work huh? ..can't just relax all day like before." The thought came to mind [after the fall], women must experience much pain during conception and men must work hard to make a living. So I said to him, "Because of one man, Pastor.. we must work hard." :)

"In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it was thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return." Genesis 3:19

But the price had been paid. It was paid in full by the second Adam, Immanuel (God with us), Michael (who is like unto God?), Jeshua, Jesus.

"If you give yourself to Him, and accept Him as your Saviour, then, sinful as your life may have been, for His sake you are accounted righteous. Christ’s character stands in place of your character, and you are accepted before God just as if you had not sinned." SC 62.2

"Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned." Romans 5:12

"Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life." verse 18

Teach me

Just got home from work. First week into PM shift, and I'm learning a lot about this Med Tech profession. Learning a lot on paying back federal loans today. Learning a lot on being an independent adult. I'm learning as I go. :)

What verse to share with friends tonight...

"Teach me Thy way, O LORD; I will walk in Thy truth: unite my heart to fear Thy name.
I will praise Thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify Thy name for evermore.
For great is Thy mercy toward me: and Thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell."
~Psalms 86:11-13

Rest

"For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.
And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one Sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD."
~Isaiah 66:22,23

Training period is officially over. Yey for no more setting up the alarm 5.30 in the morning for work. Hoping to have a more relaxed devotion time in the morning. But 3-11 shift awaits me Monday.

Praise the Lord for He is faithful.

A Maize

I have set the 'home page' of my chrome browser to Bing.com. When my friend stayed over a couple of weekends ago and saw Bing popped up, he was shocked. "Andrey, you use Binggggg?" He said, as his eyes grew larger in awe. My friend was a Mac enthusiast and would prefer to have nothing to do with Windows if he could so help. hehhe.

The reason is simple actually. I really like Bing's startup page that shows unique pictures from different parts of the world. It changes every single day. The photo geek in me could not resist (But i still rely on google for my search purposes. :)

Spring is almost here. Here's a recent cloud movement of our North America.. notice the green color of clouds are no longer accompanied by white percipitations. :) It has truly been an abundant winter, this 2010/2011 season.

As much as a my friend was amazed of Bing, there's yet another kind of 'maize' I'd like to bring up to mind... it's found in the gospel of John (but it's actually a wheat plant not corn :)

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.
He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal."
John 12:24,25

'Hateth life in this world?' Some strong words. It could not possibly mean its literal means. Or could it? Yesterday my friend shared with me, when he was selling religious books two summers ago to raise money for the following semester, whenever they were dropped off in a rich neighborhood, it was very unlike that they'd make much sales. It was more likely for them to go to neighborhoods where the people were 'poorer' than these wealthy people that the colporteurs would sell their books on health and the gospel. I never knew that before. I would have thought the other way around.

Do you love your life in this world?
